The former Prime Minister of the DPR was appointed acting Governor of the Omsk region

Russian President Vladimir Putin by his decree prematurely terminated the powers of the Governor of the Omsk region Alexander Burkov. He resigned of his own accord.
Vitaly Khotsenko, who previously served as the head of the DPR government, was appointed acting governor of the region. He will serve as governor until a new one is elected, the presidential decree says.
It's worth reminding that Vitaly Khotsenko headed the government of the DPR since June last year. Prior to that, he headed the Department of Industrial Policy and Project Management at the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In December 2022, he was among the victims of the shelling of a hotel in Donetsk. At the same time, the former head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, was wounded.
