The Prosecutor General's Office was asked to check Valery Meladze on the financing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

"Many citizens have a question whether the money they earned at corporate events in Moscow and Dubai is not going to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine", - the appeal says (quoted by RT).

Borodin notes that the Federal Project on Security and Anti-Corruption has been "monitoring" Valery Meladze, his activities and statements for a long time. It is noted that the singer "repeatedly criticized the decisions taken by state bodies and the President of Russia" concerning the special operation.

The author of the appeal indicates that the artist's concert activity in the Russian Federation is currently limited, but he performs outside the country. He also recalled the incident at a New Year's corporate party in Dubai, where Meladze supported the "nationalist slogan" of one of the guests.

In this regard, Borodin asks the Prosecutor General's Office to conduct an audit against the artist.
