Lia Akhedzhakova announced her departure from Sovremennik theater

People's Artist of Russia Liya Akhedzhakova wrote a letter of resignation from the Sovremennik Theater on her own. She told Novaya Gazeta about this (she was deprived of a certificate of registration as a media outlet).

Akhedzhakova is going to take up touring activities, she does not intend to leave Russia. The publication writes that Akhedzhakova in Cyprus "with a full house" played in a play based on the play by Lyudmila Ulitskaya "My grandson Benjamin".

On March 10, Akhedzhakova published an open letter on the Internet, in which she said goodbye to the stage of the Sovremennik theater and thanked fans for letters of support.
