The majority of Russians (77%) support reducing the working week to 36 hours, according to the portal's survey SuperJob.ru.

As follows from the results of the study, representatives of the weaker sex are more likely to support the reduction of the working week than representatives of the stronger sex.

At the same time, three quarters of the survey participants believe that even despite the reduction of the working week, the amount of work will remain the same.

16% of respondents do not support the initiative to reduce working hours. At the same time, representatives of the stronger sex are more likely to oppose this initiative.

It's worth reminding that it was previously proposed to reduce the working week to 36 hours in the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs.

Prior to that, the possibility of reducing the working week to four days was considered. The majority of Russians opposed it, believing that it would affect their salaries. Economists also did not support the idea, believing that it would negatively affect the economy.
