According to TASS, referring to the head of the consular department of the Russian Embassy, Georgy Polin, the refusals were announced by the Argentine side to "several dozen" Russians. This position is justified by the agreement of the two countries on visa-free travel. It implies that Russians can enter, leave, transit and stay in Argentina without a visa for no more than 90 days during each 180-day period. Polin pointed out that last year the Argentine authorities still satisfied most of the requests of Russians. Now, orders are being issued to leave the country as soon as possible under the threat of initiating deportation proceedings.
In February, we recall, the migration police of Argentina did not let Russian women in labor into the country. Then the Russians still received permission, but the migration service and the federal police initiated a check of the armor, which were indicated in the applications of Russian tourists who arrived on February 9 aboard Turkish Airlines. As a result, it turned out that three of the 25 addresses do not actually exist.Polin clarified that last year at least 2.5 thousand Russians, including pregnant women, arrived in the state.
