American leader Joe Biden does not plan such measures in response to the arrest of The Wall Street Journal correspondent, US citizen Evan Gershkovich.

The WSJ itself called for the Russian ambassador and all Russian correspondents to be expelled from the country in response to the arrest of her employee in Moscow - "this is the minimum that can be counted on".

"There are no such intentions now", - the Washington Examiner quotes Biden as saying.

On March 30, the Secretary of State of the United States made a statement against the background of the arrest of American journalist Evan Gershkovich, urging compatriots to leave Russia as soon as possible. On the same day earlier, the Lefortovo court of the capital granted the request of the investigation to arrest an American employee of The Wall Street Journal, Evan Gershkovich, on charges of espionage. The correspondent was sent into custody for two months.

The American was trying to gather information about one of the enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex.
