The office of Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova reported that the project on vocational training and retraining of citizens "Employment Promotion" was proposed to expand to new categories of citizens: participants of the SMO, their family members and families of fallen soldiers.

"The project proposes to expand the categories of participants in vocational training and additional vocational education activities within the framework of the federal project "Employment Promotion" and the categories of participants in activities to support legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in 2023 to stimulate the employment of certain categories of citizens, including such categories as participants in a special military operation, their family members and family members of the victims", — the office of the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the results of the meeting of the Russian Trilateral Commission (RTC) on the regulation of social and labor relations (quoted by Interfax).

It is noted that the training and retraining programs will expand the employment opportunities of persons of the listed categories. The program will also increase the effectiveness of measures to stimulate hiring and promote employment.

The Deputy Prime Minister's office added that the meeting considered and supported, taking into account today's discussion, the draft government decree "On the procedure for providing additional paid days off for caring for disabled children." The development of the document is related to changes in the Labor Code, according to which one of the parents (guardians, trustees) gets the opportunity to accumulate additional paid days off. Within the calendar year, it is planned to use up to 24 consecutive weekends in total once. The initiative comes into force on September 1, 2023.

Earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the creation of the Defenders of the Fatherland state fund, designed to support the participants of the special operation and their family members. Among the fund's activities are training, retraining, advanced training and assistance in finding employment for these categories of persons.
