The Investigative Committee of Russia (ICR) has charged Daria Trepova, a defendant in the case of a terrorist attack in a cafe in St. Petersburg, as a result of which war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky was killed. This was reported in the press service of the department.

"She is charged with committing a crime under paragraph "b" of part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code, part 4 of Article 222.1 (a terrorist act committed by an organized group that caused intentional death to a person; illegal carrying of explosive devices committed by an organized group)", - the press service of the ICR reported (quoted by RIA Novosti").

The detainee was taken to the Basmanny Court of Moscow, where a preventive measure will be chosen. As the newspaper notes, criminal cases are usually investigated at the crime scene, but due to the resonance or complexity, they can be transferred to the central office of the TFR.

The Basmanny court was informed about the receipt of the materials of the petition for the arrest of Trepova from the GSU of the TFR. Investigators insist on arresting the detainee until June 2.

"The Basmanny District Court of the city of Moscow received material on the petition of the Main Investigations Directorate of the IC of the Russian Federation on the election of a preventive measure in the form of detention in respect of Daria Evgenievna Trepova, accused of committing a crime under paragraph b of Part 3 of Article 205, Part 4 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The investigation asks to choose a measure of restraint until 06/02/2023", - the court said.

The explosion in a cafe on the University embankment of St. Petersburg thundered on Sunday evening. Vladlen Tatarsky (real name Maxim Fomin) was killed in the explosion. The funeral of the war correspondent will take place on April 8 in Moscow, as reported by his friend, musician Akim Apachev, in an interview with RIA Novosti. As a result of the incident, 40 people were injured. Judging by the video from the cafe, the explosive device was hidden in a statuette that Trepova presented to the military commander during his lecture in the cafe. The suspect was detained the next day. Initially, a criminal case was initiated under the article "Murder in a generally dangerous way", but then it was reclassified as a "Terrorist attack", which provides for punishment up to a life term.
