The 27-year-old striker of HC Metallurg and an ex-CSKA player was found guilty of giving a large-scale bribe and attempted bribery.

As Kommersant clarifies, the decision on the fine was made by the Leninsky District Court of Ufa. Judge Elvira Yakupova did not read out the reasoning part of the verdict. The prosecutor demanded that the hockey player be fined 3 million rubles, but the judge appointed 2.2 million rubles.

Koshelev transferred 40 thousand rubles to Farit Samigullin for obtaining a military ticket and about 270 thousand rubles for admission to the Ufa State Petroleum Technical University, where, according to his own admission, he actually did not study. Koshelev pleaded guilty.

It's worth reminding that Samigullin, a former traffic police officer, participated in similar schemes with other hockey players. Earlier, Vladislav Lukin, a 25-year-old striker of HC Ugra, Anvar Suleymanov, a 22-year-old former goalkeeper, and Mikhail Vorobyov, a 25-year-old striker of the St. Petersburg HC SKA, were found guilty of paying a bribe for buying a military ticket. They also passed bribes through Samigullin.
