More than 16 thousand soldiers of Armed Forces of Ukraine will be trained in the EU by the end of April

Vice Admiral Herve Blejan said that within the framework of the EU special mission, more than 16 thousand Ukrainian soldiers will undergo special training by the end of April. He stressed that military support for Ukraine is one of the main tasks of the EU military missions, which he commands. The European Union plans to train 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers by the end of this year.

"We are doing this in full coordination with our partners", - TASS quoted the military as saying.

It is important for the allies to reduce the time of arms deliveries to Ukraine, taking into account the interests of Kiev. In addition, the EU must make sure that Russia "will not achieve victory" in the conflict in Ukraine. According to Blejan, the European Union faces an important question, what kind of Russia Europeans want to see in the future.

As part of a special mission, American specialists also plan to train 500 Ukrainian soldiers every month at a training ground in Germany. In addition, a separate training program for the Ukrainian military is conducted in the UK.

At the end of last month, the Pentagon said that the United States had trained only seven thousand Ukrainian militants. At the same time, 65 people were taught to manage Patriot systems. They have been sent to Europe, where the integration of the complexes will take place.
