REN TV: in Ingushetia, three policemen were killed in a shootout with militants

As a result of a clash between law enforcement agencies and militants in the village of Zyazikov-Yurt, located in the Malgobek district of Ingushetia, three policemen were killed and seven more people were injured, REN TV writes, citing its source. Among the dead are a senior police officer and seconded employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The security forces blocked the criminals in one of the households where there were four militants wanted for an attack on a traffic police post last month. The firefight lasted all night, and FSB special forces with the support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Rosgvardiya took part in the battle. As a result, the corpse of a man who looks similar to the suspect in the attack on the traffic police post, 26-year-old Movsar Kottoev, was found.

Earlier, on March 27, near the village of Kantyshevo in the Nazran district on the border of Ingushetia and North Ossetia, unknown assailants attacked a traffic police post, opening fire on police officers who received gunshot wounds of varying severity. The suspects in the attack were discovered on April 3 during search operations and began shooting at the police with automatic weapons.

In this regard, a counter-terrorist operation regime was introduced in the Malgobek district.
