Federal Anti-Monopoly Service filed a case against Aeroflot

The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia has opened a case against the largest domestic airline Aeroflot due to non-compliance with the law on advertising. According to the FAS press service, the inspection revealed signs of violation of this law by the air carrier.

"The FAS has opened a case against Aeroflot. The actions of the air carrier revealed signs of violation of the Law on Advertising", - the report says.

The FAS received a complaint from a citizen about an advertisement for Aeroflot placed in the on-board magazine. The advertisement stated that the company provides a free service for the transportation of ski equipment or snowboard equipment when buying tickets for its flights. However, the applicant attached receipts that show that he paid the cost of transporting the specified equipment twice. The FAS pointed out that advertising containing false information is recognized as unreliable in accordance with the law. If the company is found guilty, it faces liability in accordance with the Law on Advertising.
