ABBA guitarist Lasse Wellander has died

It is noted that the guitarist died of cancer. This was reported by his family on the social network.

"Lasse recently got cancer. The disease developed rapidly. Early in the morning on Good Friday (April 7 – ed.), he died surrounded by his loved ones", - the publication of the musician's relatives says.

Lasse Wellander was born in 1952. Since 1974, he has been playing in the band ABBA. Together with him, the band recorded 24 new songs. Among them are such hits as "Intermezzo No.1" and "Crazy World". With the participation of the guitarist, they recorded eight albums. The last "Voyage" was released in 2021. In addition to participating in the band, the musician has also released solo albums.
