Microsoft Corporation does not provide warranty services for its Xbox consoles in Russia. The company recommends contacting device sellers for this, Izvestia writes. Microsoft technical support reported that the warranty service of consoles, including those that were officially imported to Russia, is temporarily unavailable due to the current situation. The company did not specify when the warranty service of the devices was suspended.
Microsoft began to reduce its business in Russia in early March in connection with the special operation. As a result, the corporation temporarily suspended sales of its products and services in the country.
According to the information provided by Rospotrebnadzor, the responsibility for the guarantee lies with the seller, and the consumer can make claims to the stores. Some large retail chains, such as "M.Video-Eldorado" and "Citylink", confirmed their readiness to provide warranty service. At the same time, Ozon reported that the guarantee is provided by the marketplace itself or the seller, depending on who the products were purchased from.
Over the past year, the number of requests for warranty on equipment has increased in Russia. This is due to the departure of foreign brands and the growth of sales of domestic and Chinese products. Experts believe that Russians will have to get used to the worst quality, and over time the amount of equipment handed over will return to a normal level.
