Russians have registered more than 5.3 thousand enterprises in Georgia since the beginning of the year

"In the first three months of 2023, from January 1 to April 1, Russian citizens registered another 5332 new business entities in Georgia", - the NSS reported.

The NSS noted that most often Russians register as individual entrepreneurs. In addition, from January to April, Russians registered in Georgia about 200 LLC specializing in design and IT business.

The service clarified that the most registrations during this period occurred in February — 2649, including three non-profit legal entities and 62 LLC. In January, Russians registered 1,363 business entities in Georgia, including three non—profit legal entities and 62 LLC, and in March - 1,320 enterprises, including two non-profit legal entities and 76 LLC.

According to the NSS, from March to December 2022, Russian citizens registered about 15 thousand enterprises of various formats in Georgia.

The service added that most of the registrations are for Russians who moved to the republic for permanent residence after the start of the special operation. According to various sources, this is 100-130 thousand people, Kommersant notes.
