Since September, Russian universities will begin to study the basics of statehood

This is reported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.

According to the ministry, more than three thousand teachers from 562 universities of the country participated in the development and discussion of the course.

The new course will include lectures and seminars. In total, the course is designed for 72 hours, of which about 18-20 hours is the student's independent work.

The new course consists of five parts. The lectures will discuss what Russia is, talk about the Russian state-civilization and the political structure of the country, as well as raise issues of the Russian worldview and values, challenges of the future and issues of the country's development.

At the next stage, it is also planned to revise the school course in social studies, which will integrate a course on the basics of Russian statehood, added the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov.

He added that a training program in this discipline will begin for university teachers on the basis of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. The training program for teachers starts in April.
