The current head of the White House is going to be re-elected as President of the United States in 2024. Joe Biden himself said this in a television interview with MSNBC.

"I plan to run, this is my firm intention. But we're not ready to announce it yet", - Biden told Al Roker, host of NBC's "Today" program.

The 80-year-old Biden himself, writes The Washington Pos t, has yet to make many decisions about the structure and organization of his election race, and he continues to consult with experts in the administration on this topic. And they say that there is no need to hurry – the president should be able, in case of unforeseen circumstances, to refuse to nominate his candidacy and support another candidate from the Democrats.

Meanwhile, the "owner" has not yet decided on the place of the election headquarters and the head of the election campaign. Biden is expected to officially announce his participation in the elections in late spring or summer 2023.

So far, the application for the presidential nomination from the Democratic Party, Kommersant notes, was submitted by the nephew of former US President John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy Jr., and writer Marianne Williamson.

Donald Trump, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy are running for the highest state post of the country from the Republicans.

Former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former US Vice President Mike Pence are also considering their participation in the Republican elections.
