"If a citizen did not receive a summons during the draft campaign for any reason — went fishing, visiting, abroad, left for two months and 29 days — the military commissariat does not have any questions for him. He will return, find out about the summons by looking at "Public services“, or from the employer, no questions. But he has to come to the military enlistment office himself in the next draft within two weeks", - Andrey Kartapolov explained.
During a meeting of the State Duma, one of the deputies noted that those liable for military service during the draft must notify about leaving their place of residence if they are absent for more than three months. The deputy expressed concerns about the fact that citizens will leave for some time, and upon their return they will find an administrative case against him for failing to appear at the military enlistment office during the draft campaign, Kommersant writes.
Earlier on Tuesday, deputies approved a bill that concerns electronic notifications of military personnel about the need to appear at the military enlistment office. Now the summonses will be handed over not only in person, but also in electronic form through the portal "Gosuslugi" (State services). The summons will be considered handed over from the moment it appears in the personal account. All those who are liable for military service will be called to the military enlistment offices in this way. Electronic summonses will not be sent out in the spring draft yet.
