Russian Su-27 escorted a German patrol plane over the Baltic Sea

Russian controls have detected an object identified as a German Navy P-3C Orion basic patrol aircraft over the Baltic Sea. This is reported by the Ministry of Defense. The target - the aircraft of the basic patrol aircraft P-3C "Orion" of the German Navy - was approaching the border of Russia, which is why the Su-27 fighter was lifted into the air. Orion did not violate the state border of Russia.

"After the turn of a foreign military aircraft from the State border of the Russian Federation, the Russian fighter safely returned to the home airfield", - the ministry said. 

At the end of March, the United States, after an emergency with the MQ-9 Reaper UAV, sent a new unmanned aerial vehicle, the RQ-4 Global Hawk, to the area over the territory of the Black Sea.
