"As for this bill as a whole, we probably need to be aware that we are talking about the fact that we need to streamline the system of accounting and conscription of those who should serve in the army. Conscripts must serve in our army according to the Constitution. This is a constitutional duty of citizens. When the special military operation began, you and I saw that in some places we have a lot of mess in the military enlistment offices. This bill is designed to fix this mess: a) fix it; b) make it modern, promising and convenient for citizens", - Peskov said (quoted by RIA Novosti).
The Kremlin representative stressed that many explanations were provided to this bill. He added that the initiative was considered in accordance with the procedures, but forwarded questions on details to the State Duma. The press secretary explained the urgency of the adoption by the importance of the initiative for the state.
"All such documents are all very extremely important now. And, of course, the Duma accepts them as priority urgent documents", - he added.
According to Kommersant, Peskov assured that Russian President Vladimir Putin is familiar with the essence of the law on digital registration of military service, but will study its provisions after receipt for signature.
