A bill on the protection of Russians from decisions of international structures has been submitted to the State Duma

"This decision will allow us to protect the country from illegal, unfriendly and aggressive actions of various international organizations", - explained State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, one of the authors of the bill (quoted by Kommersant).

Together with him, the preparation of the bill was led by the leaders of the State Duma factions and other deputies. On April 3, the Chairman of the Parliament instructed Deputy Chairman Irina Yarova and representatives of the relevant Duma committees Andrei Kartapolov and Vasily Piskarev to develop amendments on the protection of citizens from decisions of international structures.

On March 17, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Presidential Commissioner for Children's Rights Maria Lvova-Belova. Press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov said that Russia, like a number of other countries, do not recognize the jurisdiction of the ICC, and he called the very formulation of the issue "outrageous and unacceptable." In response, the Investigative Committee of Russia opened criminal cases against the prosecutor and judges of the ICC.

On April 3, Volodin announced the preparation of amendments that would ban the activities of the ICC and other international organizations directed against the Russian Federation and Russians. He also said that within the framework of the initiative, a ban will be prepared on public appeals for the implementation of decisions of the mentioned organizations, as well as for cooperation with them. In particular, the speaker of the State Duma proposed to introduce criminal liability for this, and the relevant decisions, according to him, are already being developed
