According to Shot, an expert in the explosive case suggested that plastid was poured into the cavity of the bust and a fuse was inserted. A magnet was glued to the bottom of the figurine, which restrained the explosion activator in the form of a metal ball. When the magnet was removed, the ball rolled down to the moderator, after which the explosive device was remotely activated.
