A video recording of the alleged murder of an allegedly Ukrainian serviceman by unknown persons has been sent to the investigative authorities to assess the reliability and make the necessary decisions. This was reported in the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.

"The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, during the monitoring of the Internet, found photo and video materials containing, presumably, scenes of the alleged murder of a Ukrainian serviceman. In order to assess the reliability of these materials and make an appropriate decision, they were sent to the investigative authorities to organize an inspection", -the Prosecutor General's Office said (quoted by Interfax).

The supervisory authority promised to take control of the results of the investigation.

According to the Telegram channel "Base", it is unknown who, where and when recorded the video, which depicts the alleged beheading of a serviceman. Presumably, it could have been removed last summer. The footage itself hit the Net on April 11.

Earlier, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov commented on the video that appeared on social networks. He noted that first of all it is necessary to check the authenticity of materials and events.

"Of course, these are terrible shots, and first you need to check the authenticity, and then, of course, this may become an occasion to check whether it is true or not, whether it took place. If it had, then where and from whom", - Peskov told reporters.
