A growing number of Americans view China as an "enemy", Russia takes in second place

According to sociologists, Bloomberg writes, today 83% of American adults have an unfavorable opinion of the Chinese as a nation. More than half of the respondents called China a "competitor", while only 6% said that the country is a "partner" of the United States. At the same time, about 38% of Americans called China an "enemy of America," which is 13% more than last year.

The Pew survey showed that 47% of respondents consider tensions between China and Taiwan a "very serious" problem, which is a record high in recent years.

About 62% of respondents called the Sino-Russian partnership a "very serious" issue, which leads among the concerns of Americans. Most people consider the ties between Beijing and Moscow to be the main problem for the United States.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said he would not comment on the results of the next survey, which is so popular in the United States. Nevertheless, he accused "anti-Chinese forces" and official propaganda of spreading misinformation about China, misleading public opinion inside the United States.
