Representatives of the Democratic Republic of the Congo are considering the possibility of using the Mir payment system in connection with the problems that have arisen with money transfers due to sanctions imposed by Western countries. One of the Russian private banks proposed this idea, and it was sent to the Congolese authorities for discussion with the Central Bank and interested authorities.
Ivan Wangu Ngimbi, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of the Congo to Russia, noted that after the introduction of anti-Russian sanctions, the embassy faced difficulties in banking operations and could not receive money to pay salaries to employees. Parents of students from the Congo who study in Russia also cannot send money to them.
Mir is gradually introducing more and more countries. After Visa and Mastercard cards issued in Russia "turned into a pumpkin", domestic travelers are desperately looking for various loopholes to be able to use their money abroad. Currently, only some friendly countries agree to "Peace", but this is already a lot in the current situation. So, in the middle of the month it became known that soon Russian tourists will be able to use cards of the domestic payment system in Cuba - in local trade and service enterprises.
Mir currently operates in partner banks in Abkhazia, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Tajikistan, South Korea and South Ossetia. Already more than 15 States are currently at the stage of considering the possibility of implementing this system. They are ready to launch Mir at home.
