Following the results of the session of the G7 Foreign Ministers' meeting on Ukraine, a general statement was prepared, which states the intention of the "Big Seven" to strengthen sanctions against Russia and provide "resolute support" to Kiev. The document was published by the Japanese Foreign Ministry.

"The G7 foreign Ministers confirmed that they remain committed to strengthening, fully coordinating and enforcing sanctions against Russia, as well as continuing resolute support for Ukraine", - the statement said (quoted by Interfax).

The meeting participants also agreed to step up efforts and coordination to combat sanctions evasion. In addition, the G7 intends to fight the supply of "weapons to Russia by third countries."

The negotiations of the G7 foreign Ministers started yesterday in Karuizawa (Nagano Prefecture, Japan).
