General Surovikin to the leadership of the Wagner PMCs: «I urge you to stop»

Sergey Surovikin stated the following:

«I have just arrived on the orders of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation from the front line, from the front line, where our troops, our commanders, our soldiers, our fighters, our volunteers are performing a task, fighting the enemy to the death, with superior enemy forces, incur losses, but stand in their positions.

I appeal to the leadership, commanders and fighters of the PMCs „Wagner.“ We have passed a difficult and difficult path together with you. We fought together with you, took risks, suffered losses, and won together. We are of the same blood. We are warriors. I urge you to stop. The enemy is just waiting for the internal political situation to escalate in our country. It is impossible to play into the hands of the enemy in this difficult time for the country. Before it is too late, it is necessary and necessary to do this — to obey the will and order of the popularly elected President of the Russian Federation, stop the columns, return them to their permanent locations, solve all problems only peacefully, under the leadership of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation».

Sergey Surovikin is currently the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

Recall that on June 23, the Ministry of Defense refuted the statements of the head of the Wagner PMCs, Yevgeny Prigozhin, that the Russian army had attacked parts of Wagner.

Prigozhin said: «Those who struck at the rear camps of a private military company will be punished.» «This is not a military coup, this is a march of justice. Our actions do not interfere with the troops in any way, » Prigozhin said.

After Prigozhin's speech, the Investigative Department of the FSB of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against him under Article 279 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the fact of organizing an armed rebellion. The punishment is provided in the form of imprisonment for a period of 12 to 20 years.

Earlier, the conflict between the Wagner PMCs and the Ministry of Defense unfolded around the so-called shell famine that arose at Wagner during the months-long assault on Artemovsk. Prigozhin has repeatedly accused the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of sabotaging the supply of ammunition.
