A failure occured in the baggage handling system in Sheremetyevo

According to RIA Novosti, obtained from an unnamed airline, a malfunction occurred in the baggage handling system of Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport the night before. The source claims that the system is faced with the problem of reading luggage tags and sorting it.

As a result of the failure, about 800 pieces of luggage were not sent to airlines using Terminals B and C. It is planned to ship this luggage later today, June 30. The cause of the failure and the expected time to fix the problem are unknown.

The baggage handling system in Sheremetyevo has been working slowly and malfunctions since 19:30. A source of the Baza telegram channel said that the luggage of the already departed passengers will be sent in the coming days.

Recall that at the beginning of this week, violations in the flight schedule were noted at three Russian airports.
