All the members of the tourist group are alive, they do not need medical help.

A group of eight tourists arriving from Krasnodar Territory and heading to the village of Arkhyz in Karachay-Cherkessia through the Sofia Lakes, which lost contact, was discovered by rescuers. As reported in the official message of the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, they do not require medical assistance:

«Rescuers of the Karachay-Cherkess search and rescue squad of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia found a group of Krasnodar Territory. The tourists went to the Sofia Waterfalls, from where they were evacuated by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.»

Rescuers assisted a group of tourists, which included 20 people. All of them were resting in one of the tent camps in the village of Arkhyz. Search operations were complicated due to carrying out at night and worsening weather conditions.

As previously reported, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received information about the disappearance of an unregistered group of tourists from the Krasnodar Territory, consisting of 20 people, who got lost while descending from the Sofia lakes to the village of Arkhyz. The group of tourists split up and moved in different directions, but the first group of eight people stopped communicating. The second group of 12 people was found by rescuers on the descent. A group of rescuers of the Karachay-Cherkess search and Rescue squad of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, consisting of four people and two pieces of equipment, was involved in the operation to search for the missing.

Recall that during rafting on a mountain river in the village of Arkhyz in the Zelenchuk district of Karachay-Cherkessia, a tourist died after capsizing a raft. Another participant of the rafting was injured and went to the hospital.
