An 11-year-old schoolgirl gave birth to a healthy baby in the Novosibirsk region

«We will find out whether all measures of assistance to this mother have been provided now, whether any support from the guardianship authorities is required for this family. The event has already happened», — Nina Ostanina, head of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs, said in an interview with «Podyom».

She called the incident «an indicator of the lack of educational work in school and family.» She noted the shortcomings of educational work and school leadership, which, in her opinion, are of a «formal nature», as well as the activities of public organizations and movements.

«Instead of going hiking, doing volunteer work, children are busy with the fact that at the age of 11 they already know adult life, » Ostanina believes.

The head of the Duma committee added that it was difficult for her to find words that could be said to a schoolgirl, but promised to provide the young mother with the necessary support. The guardianship authorities are dealing with the situation. It turns out in which family the girl was brought up, in which school she studied. Ostanina did not rule out that the one who gave birth may be from a prosperous family, and in this case «we can't even ask them».

«It is necessary to ask from the society. This is just an indicator of the decline in the level of that universal culture and inattention to our children, » she stressed.

Currently, Valentina Isayeva is considered to be the youngest Russian mother. She became pregnant at the age of 11 by a 19-year-old migrant from Tajikistan. This happened in 2005. As the «Rise» notes, everything happened by mutual consent, and later the parents got married.
