National Anti-Terrorist Committee: The Crimean bridge was attacked by two surface drones

«At 3.05 two Ukrainian unmanned surface vehicles carried out an attack on Crimean Bridge. As a result of the terrorist act, the road component of the Crimean Bridge was damaged. At the same time, two adults were killed and one child was injured, » the NAC information center said in a statement.

GSU TFR opened a criminal case on a terrorist attack in accordance with Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. According to investigators, the terrorist attack was committed by the special services of Ukraine on the night of July 16-17.

«On the fact of damage to the Crimean bridge by the Main Investigative Department of the IC A criminal case has been opened in Russia on the grounds of a crime under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (a terrorist act), » the TFR said in a statement.

As part of the investigation of the criminal case, the necessary examinations have been appointed. Investigators are identifying those involved in the crime from among the «Ukrainian special services and armed formations.»

Earlier today, the head of Crimea Sergey Aksenov reported an emergency in the area of the 145th pillar of the Crimean Bridge. Ambulances and law enforcement officers went to the scene. Later it became known about the deceased couple from the Belgorod region. The daughter of the victims was hospitalized with injuries. According to media reports, eyewitnesses heard explosions in the area of the Crimean Bridge at night. Photos and videos from the scene also appeared on the Network. The Ministry of Transport reported damage to the road surface, but denied information about the destruction of the support.

Thus, the second terrorist attack was committed on the Crimean Bridge. The first attack was carried out on October 8, 2022, after which the bridge was restored for a long time, finishing work at the end of February.
