«The Ministry of Transport of Russia reported that there is damage to the roadway on the spans of the Crimean Bridge from the Republic of Crimea. The structures of the spans themselves are on their supports,» the message on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation says.

Currently, an examination of the condition of the bridge is ongoing.

Earlier today, the head of the Crimea Sergey Aksenov reported an emergency on The Crimean bridge, without specifying its nature. Traffic on the bridge and the operation of the ferry crossing were suspended. The authorities urged tourists and residents of the peninsula to use alternative overland routes. According to Telegram channels, explosions thundered in the area of the bridge at night, but this information has not been officially confirmed at the moment.
