17 Ukrainian drones shot down in Crimea

On Tuesday night, air defense forces successfully shot down 17 unmanned aerial vehicles in the east of Crimea. Another 11 were suppressed by means of electronic warfare. The head of the region, Sergey Aksenov, clarified that no one was injured as a result of the incident. Aksenov expressed gratitude to the servicemen:

«I thank our servicemen for their service! We worked out clearly and smoothly.»

The Ministry of Defense of Russia commented on what happened at night in Crimea. The ministry indicated that an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack by 28 unmanned aerial vehicles on objects in the territory of Crimea was stopped.

«Seventeen Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed by air defense means. Eleven more UAVs were suppressed by means of electronic warfare and, failing to reach the target, crashed. There are no casualties or damage,» the ministry said.

The National Anti-Terrorist Committee stated that on the night of July 17, two Ukrainian unmanned vehicles attacked the Crimean Bridge. As a result of the explosion, both spans of the automobile part of the bridge were damaged, which led to a traffic stop. Spouses Natalia and Alexey Kulik from the Belgorod region were killed, their 14-year-old daughter was taken to the hospital. Their car collided with the span of the bridge, which came out of its fastenings as a result of the explosion. The NAC qualified this explosion as a terrorist attack. Now the Crimean Bridge has restored the movement of passenger cars in reverse mode on one lane. Transport is moving in the extreme right lane of the Taman-Kerch direction. The facility was prepared for launch as soon as possible.
