Investigators took Igor Girkin (Strelkov) in an «unknown direction»

Igor Girkin (Strelkov) was detained by law enforcement officers. This was reported by two sources in law enforcement agencies, as well as his lawyer confirmed this information, as reported by RBC.

The arrest took place at Girkin's house around noon on July 21. Currently, the staff of the Investigative Committee is conducting a search in his apartment. Presumably, the detention is connected with a statement received from a former employee of the private security company «Wagner».

Then it became known that Girkin was charged under the article «Extremism». The staff came to him at 11:30 p.m. The wife of the former DPR Defense Minister Miroslav Reginskaya reported this information in her husband's personal tg channel:

«Today, at about 11:30, representatives of the investigative committee came to us. I wasn't at home at the time. Soon, according to the concierge, they took my husband by the arms and took him away in an unknown direction.»

Recall that Girkin performed on YouTube together with a retired fan of the GRU of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Russia by Vladimir Kvachkov. Kvachkov became involved in the administrative case of discrediting the army. Girkin also criticized the General Staff, stating that «the x od of the special operation showed that all the decisions taken were correct.» In April, the former head of the DPR Defense Ministry, the Moscow Department of the Interior Ministry, was going to check for discrediting the Russian army.

Igor Ivanovich Strelkov's real name is Igor Vsevolodovich Girkin.
