An attempted drone attack was repelled in Moscow

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that on the night of Friday, July 28, an attack by an enemy unmanned aerial vehicle was launched on the capital. According to the mayor, the attack was successfully repelled, the incident was not followed by any destruction or injury to people:

«At night, an attempt was made to attack an enemy drone, which was shot down by the forces of the Ministry of Defense. There is no damage and no casualties.»

The mayor of the capital did not specify which objects were possible targets of enemy UAVs. Subsequently, the Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the attempted attack of the Ukrainian apparatus, indicating that the drone was shot down over the territory of the region, not the capital.

Recall that on the morning of July 24, two drones fell in the Moscow districts of ZIL and Khamovniki. The townspeople said that they heard the sounds of explosions on the upper floors of an uninhabited building. There were no casualties, both devices were suppressed by electronic warfare.
