Composer, Honored Artist of the RSFSR, author of over a hundred songs Alexander Kolker passed away on August 1 at the age of 91. The sad news was announced by the Union of Composers. Among the most famous works of Alexander Kolker are «Karelia», «Night Tram», «There are girls». He also wrote music for the tapes «Chronicle of a dive bomber», «Krechinsky's Wedding», «Truffaldino from Bergamo», «Three in a boat, not counting the dog». His music is heard in many theatrical productions, musicals, operettas, rock operas. His songs were included in the repertoire of Lydia Clement, Maya Kristalinskaya, Eduard Khil, Joseph Kobzon, Muslim Magomayev and other performers.
