The number of injured in the explosion in Sergiev Posad has grown to 52

This was announced by the governor of the Moscow region Andrey Vorobyov.

Earlier it was reported that 43 people were injured in the explosion, 6 of them are in serious condition, four were placed in intensive care. There may be five more people under the rubble.

According to the TFR, the version about the drone attack on the Zagorsky Optical and Mechanical Plant in Sergiev Posad, where pyrotechnics were produced in rented workshops, has not yet been confirmed.

Meanwhile, due to a powerful explosion in the city, four buildings were completely destroyed, six buildings were partially destroyed, another 14 buildings were damaged, a fire started at the scene of the emergency. Hot water was turned off in the city due to the explosion. To date, the fire has been localized.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact of the explosion under Article 217 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — «Violation of industrial safety requirements of hazardous production facilities».
