State secret of the day: names of candidates for deputies of legislative assemblies were classified in new regions

According to Vedomosti, only messages about the facts of their registration appear on the websites of election commissions.

The CEC explained what was happening at the elections in the new regions with special security measures.

It is noted that citizens will be informed about voting in the new regions in the same way as in the rest of the country. During the voting days, information about the candidates will be posted at all polling stations.

Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin amended the legislation regulating the conduct of elections during the period of martial law. He lifted the ban on holding elections and referendums in regions with declared martial law.

The changes will make it possible to hold elections to the parliament of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions scheduled for September 2023 to form legislative authorities and government bodies of municipalities.
