Typhoon Hanun hit the region.

Due to the significant destruction and damage caused by the flood in In Primorsky Krai, Governor Oleg Kozhemyako announced the introduction of a state of emergency at the regional level.

According to representatives of the Department of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the region, heavy rains caused by typhoon Hanun and the polar front led to heavy flooding in Primorye. As a result of this disaster, an emergency regime was introduced in nine municipalities of the region. According to the latest data, the number of flooded houses totals 4,620, 32 settlements remained cut off from the outside world, and 58 road sections were blocked by water. Evacuation was carried out for more than 2.5 thousand people.

Oleg Kozhemyako stated in his telegram channel that the scale of the destruction is so serious that local resources are not enough to effectively combat these consequences. The introduction of an emergency regime at the regional level will strengthen measures to help affected residents and seek federal support, if necessary.

The criteria for declaring a state of emergency in the region have been met. The introduction of this regime will allow, according to him, «to coordinate measures on the spot and, if necessary, seek help from federal authorities.»

Meanwhile, in the Anuchinsky municipal District, travel to settlements is being restored. Water leaves the roads, and special services assist it in this by restoring the roadbed. According to the publication «Vostok-Media», the passage for all types of transport on the highways Anuchino — Muraveyka, Vinogradovka — Ilmakovka — Skvortsovo has already been restored.
