A week earlier, the same drone crashed near a Picturesque bridge in the north-west of the capital.

The Baza telegram channel clarifies that the unmanned aerial vehicle that crashed in the early morning of August 18 near the Expocenter is a Ukrainian kamikaze drone «Beaver». At 3:40 a.m., he was spotted flying over the SNT «Zarnitsa» in the Krasnogorsk district. According to eyewitnesses, the UAV was moving along the New Riga at an altitude of 250 meters, a red light was burning on it. At about four o'clock in the morning, a Ukrainian drone was shot down by an air defense system.

At about 4 a.m., he was shot down by air defense forces and fell near Moscow City. Debris damaged the eighth pavilion of the Expocentre. Previously, there were no casualties.

The same «Beaver» in the area of the Picturesque Bridge in the north-west of Moscow collapsed on August 11. The drones of this model have an oblong torpedo—shaped fuselage, made according to the «duck» scheme, on the nose there is a horizontal tail of a small span, the straight wing is shifted to the tail. The length of the UAV is about 2-2.5 m, the wingspan is 3-3.5 m. This device is controlled by an autopilot, which provides flight along a given route to the target. To defeat the target in the Beaver, a standard K3-6 engineering charge was used, developed in The Soviet Union.
