Nikita Dubas, the organizer of the excursion to the Neglinka collector, and Alexander Kim, the head of the Sputnik company, were charged with providing unsafe services. The state prosecution asks to arrest them.
Both defendants plead not guilty, the metropolitan prosecutor's office reported.
Earlier, the department reported on the detention of both suspects. According to investigators, the organizers of the tour assured customers of her safety. At the same time, they entered underground structures illegally. Only employees of the special services of the city have the right to be in such places.
The ill-fated tour of the collectors of Moscow took place on August 20. During the tour, a heavy downpour began, the water level in the underground sewers began to rise rapidly. A powerful stream of water covered the travelers and dragged them through the pipes for about two kilometers. Eight people were killed, including three minors.
