Ten cruise missile attacks: the Black Sea Fleet base is on fire in Crimea

The fire broke out at the 13th ship repair plant — the fire started on its southern site. Local residents heard at least seven explosions on Wednesday night. The air defense systems reflect another attack by the Ukrainian side with missiles and drones.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation commented on the incident:

«Last night, the AFU struck with ten cruise missiles at the S. Ordzhonikidze ship repair plant in the city of Sevastopol and three unmanned boats at a detachment of ships of the Black Sea Fleet at the sea crossing».

Russian air defense systems shot down seven cruise missiles. The patrol ship «Vasily Bykov» destroyed all the unmanned boats. As a result of being hit by enemy cruise missiles, two ships under repair were damaged.

Recall that the Ordzhonikidze Sevmorzavod is the largest ship repair and shipbuilding enterprise in Crimea. In addition, this company is the main repair base of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia.

Currently, operational services are working at the site, there is no danger to civilian objects in the city. The governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that as a result of the missile attack, 24 people were injured, four had a moderate condition.
