The former president and one of the main favorites of the new presidential campaign in the United States, Donald Trump, flew to the center of the American automotive industry — Detroit, where he spoke in support of striking workers. In his speech, he promised to solve a lot of problems if he returned to the White House, and, of course, harshly criticized his main rival Joe Biden.

As for international politics, the main thing in his speech was an unexpected statement about the Russian-Ukrainian military conflict. On this occasion, Trump said that if the cost of a barrel of oil dropped to $ 40, Russia would not be able to «conduct military operations» in Ukraine.… The ex-president added that the current president Joe Biden is not doing anything to resolve this conflict. It is worth remembering at the same time that Russia is just really hoping for the return of Trump, and here are such ambiguous statements…

In addition, Trump stopped the imposition of electric cars on American consumers and predicted that under Biden, only China will remain in the automotive market, which has already become the leader in exporting cars.

At the conclusion of his speech, he stated: «As the 47th President of the United States, I will be your defender. I will be your greatest defender. With your help and your voice, we will expel the globalists from our government. We will evict the dishonest Joe Biden from the White House. We will put America and our workers first. We will make America great again.»

Meanwhile, Donald Trump's ratings have already reached 60%, according to American publications. As Novye Izvestia recently wrote, the American electorate, in addition to solving its pressing problems, hopes that Trump will cope better than Biden with a possible invasion of aliens on Earth. In this sense, 43% of respondents believe in him, while only 32% believe in Biden. So Trump's chances for a new term are quite real.

As for SVO, it's not that simple. Commenting on the proposal of the ex-president regarding the events in Ukraine, political scientist Konstantin Kalachev wrote in his channel:

«Trump doesn't understand a damn thing about postmodern Russia. His business approaches don't work here. Our current authorities will not stand up for the price. They are at least $40 per barrel, at least $140 per barrel.
