A powerful penetrating projectile (MOP) weighing almost two and a half tons is capable of piercing the ground to a depth of more than 60 meters.

As Novye Izvestia has already written, in connection with the special operation of the Russian troops in Ukraine, sales of the so-called “Doomsday bunkers”, in which wealthy people expect to sit out in case the conflict escalates into a nuclear one, immediately increased by 1000%. However, the military is also on the alert and provided for a course of action in this case.

Network analyst Dmitry Shulgin in his publication briefly acquaints readers with the "surprise" prepared by the US military for this occasion:

“GBU-57 or Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) is an American adjustable anti-bunker aerial bomb. Weight - 14 tons, warhead weight - 2400 kg.

The MOP is capable of penetrating up to 61 meters into the ground before exploding, or piercing up to 19 meters of heavy-duty reinforced concrete”.
