According to the portal avia.pro, the pilot of the Russian plane, which took off to intercept the American P-8 Poseidon anti-submarine reconnaissance aircraft, flew over it just a few meters away and upside down.

It is known that such a "psychic attack" had its effect - after a few minutes the crew of an American military aircraft interrupted their mission and had to return to the airbase, after which, as expected, the Russian pilots were accused of "wrong actions".

The civil war in Syria, which began in 2011, has become the most dramatic plot of the so-called "Arab Spring" - a series of revolutions and mass protests that swept across Arab countries since late 2010. Hundreds of thousands of people became victims of the war.

Russia has been taking part in the Syrian conflict on the side of the authorities since 2015 at the request of the country's President Bashar al-Assad.
