Conscripts called up as part of the autumn conscription will not be sent to the DPR, LPR, the territory of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions controlled by Russian troops. Conscripts will not participate in the special operation.

Such statements were made by the head of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces, Colonel General Yevgeny Burdinsky in an interview with the Krasnaya Zvezda newspaper.

“I note that citizens called up for military service will not be sent to military units on the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, and will not be involved in a special military operation in Ukraine", - Burdinsky said in an interview.

He noted that within the framework of the autumn conscription for military service (1 year), it is planned to attract 120 thousand people. This figure is 7.5 thousand below the draft level in 2021. The representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation added that the autumn conscription begins annually on October 1, but this year the start date was postponed to November 1.

According to him, the dismissal of conscripts with expired service began in October. Burdinsky noted that by October 31, 19.5 thousand people will go to their places of residence. The colonel-general also told in which territories the autumn conscription will not be held.

“The autumn conscription will not take place only in 24 municipalities of five constituent entities of the Russian Federation. These are the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Trans-Baikal, Kamchatka and Khabarovsk Territories, as well as the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, where conscription is carried out only in the spring. This is primarily due to the physical and geographical conditions of these regions,” he added.

From September 21 to October 28, partial mobilization was carried out in Russia, within the framework of which, according to the announced plans of the RF Ministry of Defense, 300 thousand Russians were called up.
