Shares of "Norilsk Nickel" in the course of trading on the Moscow Stock Exchange fell 4.71% and traded at 25,812 rubles per share.

This is evidenced by the data of the Moscow Exchange (on February 22, the trading floor was open). Thus, the company's quotes declined for the second day in a row.

Earlier, Norilsk Nickel's quotes fell on the Moscow Stock Exchange since Saturday morning on reports of an accident at the Norilsk Concentrating Plant, where three people died after the roof collapsed.

The incident occurred in a crushing shop on an area of about one thousand square meters at about one in the morning.

The head of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin, said that the accident happened because the workers grossly violated safety procedures. Since 2016, the Norilsk Concentrating Plant has been a part of Bear Ruchey LLC, a subsidiary of Norilsk Nickel.

As a reminder, on February 5, the arbitration court of the Krasnoyarsk Territory satisfied the claim of Rosprirodnadzor and ordered to recover 146 billion rubles from another subsidiary of Norilsk Nickel - Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company (NTEC) - in connection with the accident at the Norilsk thermal power plant.
