Muscovites complain about the smell of burning in some areas in the west and south-west of the capital

The publication recalls that according to the weather forecast, this week in the capital will keep abnormal heat with air temperatures up to +31°C.

Local residents publish photos that show haze. As subscribers of the Novosti Moskvy Telegram channel reported , the smell of burning is also felt in the southern districts of the city, and it appeared in the early morning.

Later, the press service of Rosleskhoz explained the reasons for the phenomena observed in Moscow. Smoke and the corresponding smell of burning came from a localized large fire in the Ryazan region.

“There is light smoke in the South, South-East of Moscow. It came from a localized fire on lands of other categories in the Ryazan region, ”the Rosleskhoz said in a statement .

The department recalled that stay in the forests in the east of the Moscow region is limited from 16 to 21 August. The head of Rosleskhoz, Ivan Sovetnikov, stressed that there are no active fires in the Moscow region at the moment.
