“In the period from 00 a.m. to 10 a.m. on September 19, heavy rain is expected in some places, very heavy rain, thunderstorm, hail. In the period from 00:00 to 21:00 on September 19, the wind in the southern quarter is expected to increase with gusts of 17-22 m/s, in some places up to 25 m/s", - the message on the Telegram channel of the Moscow Emergencies Ministry says.
The warning says that bad weather in Moscow is associated with the movement of an active southern cyclone, which, according to weather forecasts from Roshydromet, will pass through the southwest and northeast of the capital.
Rescuers advise drivers to significantly slow down, keep their distance, avoid sharp maneuvers on the roads, and also be prepared for a sharp deterioration in visibility in thunderstorm conditions. Motorists were warned against parking cars near trees. Pedestrians are advised to bypass rickety structures, trees and billboards. Muscovites and guests of the capital are advised not to leave children unattended.
