People's Artist of the USSR and former artistic director of the Moscow Art Academic Theater named after Maxim Gorky, the current president of the Moscow Art Theater Tatyana Doronina called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to "preserve" the theater.

In a letter sent to the head of state, Doronin, in particular, asks for the dismissal of the artistic director of the Moscow Art Theater, Eduard Boyakov, because, the actress claims, if this is not done, then "it won't be even memories left about the theater". She pointed out that many talented actresses have been expelled from the Moscow Art Theater, and the repertoire is "almost destroyed", as well as the scenery of the best performances loved by the audience.

According to "Argumenty Nedeli", Doronina asked the president to appoint a new head and director of the Moscow Art Theater.

In the theater itself, the agency "Moscow" was told that they did not know anything about the appeal of the actress.

It's worth reminding that in 2019, many artists have already sent letters to Putin asking him to return Doronin to the place of artistic director, criticizing Boyakov's work.

Earlier, a wide public response was caused by the appearance on the stage of the Moscow Art Theater of the former participant of the reality show "Dom-2" Olga Buzova, now considered a singer and TV presenter. The artistic community reacted negatively to the news that Buzova would play in the play "The Wonderful Georgian". - The development of civilization is on the path of moronization... - the actress Maria Shukshina commented, in particular, on the appearance of Buzova at the Moscow Art Theater.
